Globecast, the global solutions provider for media, has announced that Yann Madeleine has joined the company as Director of Sales, France and will sit on the company’s Executive Committee. He will join Globecast on March 16th, 2020. Madeleine replaces François-Regis Grenot who has taken up a role in the wider Orange Group.
Based in Paris, Madeleine’s new role is a multifaceted, dynamic one, including a high level of both new and existing customer interaction to understand their key requirements and defining tailored solutions to help their business growth. He will assist with the development of new services and bringing new customers on board.
His role responsibilities also include defining the sales action plan, developing key priorities that reflect the company’s overall strategy and then working on implementation in very close collaboration with internal technical and marketing teams. He is reporting directly to Philippe Bernard, CEO and Chairman.
Bernard said, “Yann has vast experience across the media entertainment sector, especially across business development, sales and marketing. As the industry continues to evolve at a rapid rate, having people with Yann’s excellent track record in customer-facing roles is vital to help drive our continued growth.”
Madeleine was most recently VP Sales EMEA and Russia with Globecast’s sister company Viaccess-Orca, where he was responsible for defining the sales strategy across video Content Protection, Service Delivery Platforms and Analytics, leading a team of Sales Directors to help do so. Prior to this he was Deputy General Manager with LCTVI, mother company of OTT platform TeVolution. He has also held roles at Avid and Arqiva, among others.
Madeleine said, “Joining Globecast is very exciting for me. I will be devoting all my energy and using my complete skillset to reach our goals in terms of business development and sales. As Philippe says, the industry is evolving at a rapid rate and Globecast must remain fleet-footed and highly adaptable as the industry continues to shift. I am excited by the challenge.”
