Larry Mahl, President of Japan Digital Entertainment, has lived in Japan for twenty-five years.

He is the former VP of International Business Affairs at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (Japan) where he managed the distribution of Universal and Dreamworks, acquisition of anime (via Aniplex), and led the worldwide integration of MGM into Sony Pictures. Before Sony, he managed the New Release Marketing Group at Warner Home Entertainment.

Mahl is currently Executive Producing the Japanese Comedy Series BEER GIRLS, as well as working with the Raine Group on M&A Advisory in Japan. Prior to his studio career, he was a Senior News Producer at Fuji Television, based in New York City.

Mahl was born and raised in Elyria Ohio, USA. He holds an AB in East Asian History from Harvard and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School.
